What We Help With
Psychology Support That Meets Your Child Where They Are
Our psychologists work with children and teens experiencing:
Anxiety & Worry
We help children understand their anxious thoughts and develop practical tools to feel calmer and more confident in everyday situations.
Emotional Regulation
Children learn how to recognise, understand and respond to their emotions so they feel more in control at home, school and socially.
Social & Friendship Difficulties
We support kids who find it hard to make friends, read social cues or navigate peer relationships with confidence.
Low Mood & Depression
Our psychologists provide a safe space for young people to express their feelings and learn strategies to lift their mood and reconnect with the things they enjoy.
Behavioural Challenges
We explore the “why” behind challenging behaviours and support your child with skills to manage emotions, frustration and big feelings more effectively.
Self-Esteem & Confidence
Our therapy helps children build a stronger sense of themselves, supporting resilience and a positive inner voice.
You’re Not Alone
Parenting Isn't Meant to be Done Alone
Every parent faces moments where they’re not sure how to help. The worries before school, the sudden meltdowns, the changes in mood or behaviour - they can leave you feeling unsure, stretched and concerned.
At True North Therapy Hub, we sit beside you in those moments and help you understand what’s going on for your child. You’re not doing this alone.

Our Approach
How We Work
We use evidence-based approaches delivered in a warm, down-to-earth way. Each session is tailored to the person in front of us - their age, personality, strengths and goals.
Our focus is always on practical strategies that can be used at home, at school, at work and in everyday life.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): understanding the link between thoughts, feelings and actions, and building healthier patterns.
Play-based therapy: for younger children who express themselves best through play, stories and creativity.
Solution-focused and strengths-based methods: highlighting what’s already working and building on existing strength
Collaborative Care
Working Together for Long-Term Change
Lasting change happens when everyone around a person is on the same page. Where appropriate and with consent, we work closely with the important people and services in our clients’ lives.
Partnering with parents and caregivers to support progress between sessions
Liaising with schools and educators (with permission) for consistent support
Collaborating with GPs, paediatricians and other allied health providers
Working within the NDIS framework for self-managed and plan-managed participants
